Durability of the membrane over time

The special technology we use for our thin films requires less exposure to the flame during positioning, protecting the durability of the bitumen membrane over time.
Since the technical characteristics of the waterproof mass can be altered as the membrane is heated, less exposure to the flame of the blowtorch means preserving the life of the membrane itself.

Guaranteed flame-spraying

Our high-density film (HDPE) is produced with special polymers that offer an extraordinary combination of visual uniformity and guaranteed thickness.
This particular resin aids the fusion of the film during flame-spraying, significantly reducing both the timescales and costs of work.

Approved by the NRCA

The National Roofing Contractors’ Association (USA) Thanks to various tests carried out by specialised certifying bodies on the water-proofing membranes, the NRCA has in fact established that the 7-micron film offers the best effect on the membrane during thermic fusion.

Our waterproof film is highly personalisable, so that we can meet the needs of our customers in full.
The film is currently available in black or a neutral colour, and comes in various lengths and thicknesses (from 7 microns upwards) in both micro-perforated and anonymous forms. It is also possible to customise the film with the personalised logo of our clients.
For granulated bitumen membranes, we produce the selvage, that is the film belt, printed or otherwise, in various dimensions (from 8cm upwards) and thicknesses, as per our clients’ needs. Their function is to guarantee the correct placing of the side or head membrane during application.

Can I choose the thickness of the film?

For easier application. The 6-micron film is designed to ensure perfect adhesion to the paper during coupling. Its thickness also allows for a greater yield per metre at a lower cost.

Can I personalise the film with our logo?
Yes, we use an external company to personalise films with logos as per our clients’ needs. For the printing, we use ink and water, which are less polluting than solvents. This leads to a lower impact on the environment, and is better for the health of the workers who use the combined bitumen.

Why should I choose the 7-micron film?
Because it is easier to apply. The NRCA describes the 7-micron film as the best film in the application-to-membrane phase. It is easily flame-sprayed in less time, leaving less residue. Its thickness also allows for a greater yield per meter at a lower cost.

When should I use the micro-perforated film?
Micro-perforated film is generally used with a thin waterproof membrane that has a low temperature at the moment of usage. The micro-holes aid the exit of air during usage, giving a better aesthetic effect to the membrane. The subsequent flame-spraying also requires less time and the polyethylene residue obtained is branched and fragmented.
When should I use the anonymous film?
The anonymous film is used with a thicker waterproof membrane that has a very high temperature at the moment of coupling during the production process.
The anonymous film attaches easily to hot and thick membranes.
What colours can be printed onto the film?
Currently, our standard production allows for single-colour printing: blue, white or green. But we can also supply film printed in four colours, on request.
Can I get metalized films?
Certainly, we produce metalized HDPE anonymous and printed films. All our films are designed to resist the high temperatures during coupling with the bitumen and can be easily flame-sprayed during application.
How can I resolve the problem of the transfer of the printing onto granulated or slated surfaces?
We have solved this problem for you with an innovative technical solution that prevents transfer of the print. Contact us for further information.
How is the printing on the films carried out?
Our printing uses water-based inks, with a rotogravure on the inside of the coil, followed by Corona treatment of the film.
